Southeast Addiction Center – Adult, co-ed, PHP, IOP, OP treatment center focused on primary substance abuse with co-occurring disorders.

Graduate Student Intern from September 2020 – April 2021

  • Facilitating 2-3 groups per week. Group topics included coping skills, relapse prevention, self-care, life skills, mindfulness/meditation, and processing their experiences in early recovery.

  • Providing individual therapy, treatment planning, case management, and discharge planning to clients during early recovery using motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral techniques, and narrative theory techniques.

  • Completing 203 initial clinical assessments per week. Clinical assessments included BPS, S/I, trauma, legal, education, and pain screening.

  • Developed 12-week coping skills group curriculum.

  • Competent in documenting according to Joint Commission, ASAM, and insurance standards.

  • Managed project team and coordinated 15-25 concurrent projects from the beginning of the design phase through the construction phase.

  • Designed, detailed, and coordinated structural drawings for low-rise timber-framed multi-family structures with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil disciplines.

  • Liaised between architects, owners, and contractors to coordinate, educate, and maintain the structural integrity required to ensure the safety and quality of the project.

  • Understood and applyed the appropriate building code according to city, state, and federal guidelines.

  • Established project pricing and coordinated project billing.
